This home had a very tired kitchen and a family room with a dated brick fireplace, so we opened up the supporting divider wall with a support beam and took the opportunity to update the flooring surfaces while we were at it. New cabinetry, granite surfaces and a contemporary drywalled fireplace enclosure really brought things up to speed.
